COLE, Mary W. of The Allegro/College Harbor, died Monday, July 1, 2013. Born in Murfreesboro, TN, daughter of Loutie Burt and Richard Bate Womack. Her husband of 25 years, Thomas R. Cole died in 2003. She is survived by her loving son, Cullen E. Baker III; and loving daughter, Bette B. Madison; and three precious grandchildren; and four great-grand children. Mary Cole spent her early years on her family's farm in Murfreesboro, TN, property that now is occupied by the Women's dormitories at Middle Tennessee State University. She graduated from Ward Belmont College Nashville, TN, and attended the University of Georgia where she was selected as one of the first cheerleaders for the Georgia Bulldogs. She was a member of Tri-Delta sorority. Mary was an experienced horsewoman as a young lady and showed Tennessee Walking Horses, winning best in show on many occasions. After moving from Rancho Viejo, TX, she enjoyed a happy life in Vina del Mar, on St. Pete Beach for many years. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 330 85th Avenue, St. Pete Beach, FL 33706. The family also wishes to thank all the friends who gave comfort and care to her, especially Hospice Suncoast.
