DOWNIE, Nathaniel J. "Nate", age 62, of St. Petersburg, passed on Feb. 22, 2013. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving during the Viet Nam War, and a U.S. Marine Corp Reserves. Nate was a decorated welder Journeyman, that traveled throughout the United States and Canada, working on major special and nuclear plant sites. He is survived by his loving wife, Arlisa Jackson - Downie; son, Nathanial J. Downie Jr. "Neil"; daughter, Alysha Davis; and stepdaughter, Farrah Jackson; sisters, Rose Smith (Richard), Wilhemenia Downie (Gary Washington), Annette Moore, and Julia Burgess (Larry); 6 grandchildren; a host of other relatives & friends.
