ROTHS, Raymond E. "Ray" 88, Clearwater, entered Heaven early Saturday , April 6, 2013 at Brookside Hospice after a short hospitalization. He was born Nov. 13,1924 in Detroit, served in the U.S. Army as a Sgt. in the horse cavalry. He attended Michigan State College and the General Motors Institute. He worked as an executive for Ford Motor Company and later became a Ford dealer in the northwest suburbs of Chicago. He was the chairman of a number of Missouri Synod Lutheran congregations and served as a senior delegate to the Florida-Georgia districtof the LCMS, he also served on the boardof Concordia Seminary in St. Louis.He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Nora and his two sons, Raymond Jr. and Martin; daughter-in-law, Janice Anderson-Roths; two step granddaughters, Cmdr. Jennifer Ellinger and Kimberley Anderson; and two step-great-grandchildren, Madelyn and HaydenEllinger.A service will be held at 11 am, Wednesday, April 10 at BethelLutheran Church, 3166 N. Mc Mullen Booth Road. Clearwater.
