Obituary

FRANCIS, Raymond M. age 94, of Plant City, passed on March 22, 2014. He was a World War II Navy Veteran. He was a retired farmer, carpenter and former maintenance supervisor for Coles County, IL. He was a past exalted ruler of Charleston Elks Club and was a VFW member. He enjoyed woodworking and all sports. Raymond, along with his wife, were accomplished ballroom dancers. He is survived by Betty, his loving wife, of 72 years; son, David (Barb) Francis; four daughters, Norma VanSelow, Jeanette (Bob) Wilson, Debbie (Max) Crawford and Mona (Dale) Meryman; 11 grandchildren, Jeff Wilson, Kimberley VanSelow, Eric Fra-ncis, Michelle Gruber, Elizabeth McClure, Mark Wilson, Amanda Sedgwick, Alanna Oakes, Clay Shoot, Katie Cra-wford and Nick Crawford; 14 great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Francis; and extended family and friends. He was loved and will be missed dearly. A memorial mass will take place at 10:30 am, on Wednesday, April 2, at First United Methodist Church of Brandon.
