McMANUS, Richard B. He was born in Everett, MA, and came to St. Petersburg in 1985 from Belgrade Lakes, ME. He was a World War II, U.S. Navy Veteran serving in the Pacific in the Naval Air Corps. He graduated from Norwich University and was employed by General Electric Co., where he spent 35 years in management, retiring in May of 1985. Mr. McManus was a member of the GE Quarter Century Club, The Elfun Society, was a life member of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Arlington MA Lodge, American Legion Post 15, Waterville, ME, VFW Post 15010, Non-Commissioned Officers Assoc of USA the Navy League of the U.S., and the Norwich University Partridge Society. He also was Past President of the Isla Del Sol Yacht & Country Club, and Past President of Daystar Life Center of St. Petersburg. Mr. McManus was a communicant of Blessed Trinity Church. Survivors include his beloved wife of 61 years, Eleanor L.; his son, Stephen McManus; his daughter-in-law, Diane McManus; and his granddaughters, Colleen Mc-Manus & Kimberly Jasniewski. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 am, Monday, Feb. 18th, at Blessed Trinity Church. Entombment with military honors to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery.
