Obituary

WHITE, Richard Leo Sr. 82, of Riverview, passed away on Tuesday, March 18, 2014. A native of Lake Wales, FL, he had resided here for over 40 years coming from Miami, FL. A man with a unique sense of humor, he was a member of Holy Innocents Episcopal Church, Valrico, a 1958 graduate of the University of Florida, a US Navy veteran, history interpreter at Cracker Country at Florida State Fairgrounds, Boy Scout Leader in Miami and Brandon, and retired as an Inspector for the USDA after 41 years. A loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, he is survived by his wife of 60 years, Patricia; son, Richard (Rhonda) White, Jr.; daughter, Susan White; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grand-children; sisters-in-law, Diane Cherry and Nancy White; brother-in-law, William (Rosemary) Wright; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held 11 am Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Southern Funeral Care, 10510 Riverview Drive, Riverview, with the family receiving friends one hour prior to services.
