HAIGHT, Richard W. 72, of St. Petersburg, died Monday, Sept. 2, 2013, in South Pinellas. Born in Canandaigua, NY, he joined the United States Navy after graduating from high school. He met his wife Glenda while stationed in Panama. Shortly after marriage he started college and a family and now has three children and four grandchildren. He retired from the Navy as a Lt. Commander & then worked at Ratheon for many years until he retired in 2006. He was very proud to be a member of The Knights of Columbus. He was preceded in death by parents, Jack and Anna Haight; and sister, Nancy Oakley. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Glenda; and three sons, Richard (Mary), Glenn (Susan) and William; two brothers, Jack and Ken Haight; four grandchildren, Evan, Gabbie, Henry and Teddy. There will be a visitation from 5-8 pm, at St. Paul's Catholic Church on Thursday, Sept. 5th. A service will be held at St Paul's Catholic Church on Friday, Sept. 6th, at 10 am.
