GORDON, Robert J. 77, of Odessa, passed away on March 19, 2013. He left behind his best friend, wife and soul mate of 32 years, Betty; children, Robert Gordon Jr. and his wife, Wendi, Phil McGowan, Beth Ronzo, Terry Monte-libano; his sister-in-law, Lynn Gordon & her, husband Dennis Midthun; and grandchildren, Charlie, Lindsay, Danielle, Chrissy, Joey, Erica, & Emory. Robert was a graduate of the University of Florida and was an avid fan of the Florida Gators. He loved boating and his passion for woodworking & landscaping showed through his beautiful home in Odessa. Robert was heavily involved with the Meals on Wheels program and the Messiah Migrant Ministry for children. He held a special place in his heart for the migrant children and made it his mission to be sure that they were cared for. He had a loving spirit, the biggest heart, and limitless generosity to everyone around him and he will be truly missed by all. A celebration of his life will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, on March 23rd, at the family's home with food & beverage to follow the service.
