BLOHM, Roger passed away on July 30, 2014 from complications related to MDS. He was born in Jamestown, NY, on Sept. 2, 1933. He served in the Navy and then, studied at the University of Buffalo, University of Rochester and RIT. The family moved to Dunedin in 1970. Roger was a car enthusiast and avid genealogist. He volunteered at the Largo and Palm Harbor Libraries helping others with genealogical research. He was a founding member of the Suncoast Corvair Club and the Suncoast Genealogy Society. In 2006, the Florida Genealogical Society awarded him the Florida Outstanding Genealogy Achi-evement Award. Roger will be dearly missed by his wife of 53 years, Miriam Blohm; his daughters, Barbara Shatara (Cleary Buckley), Diane Pernica (Radek Pernica) and Jennifer Blohm; and his grandchildren, Annalee, Alexandr and Leander. A memorial service will be held at 3 pm, on Aug. 30, at St. Alfred's Episcopal Church, 1601 Curlew Rd, Palm Harbor, FL 34683.
