BUTLER, Wardell Jr. "Johnny-B" Homegoing celebration for Wardell Butler Jr., of Tampa, who passed away April 13, 2014 will be held Saturday, April 19, 2 pm, New Mount Zion M.B. Church, 2511 E. Columbus Dr., Pastor Larry Roundtree II, officiating. Interment will be held at FL Ntnl. Cemetery, Bushnell. Wardell was drafted in the U.S. Army from 1966-1968, where he served and fought in the Vietnam War. After receiving an honorable discharge, he attended Miami Dade Comm. College where he studied mortuary science; later returned to Tampa, attended Tampa College studying business administration while working for Hor-dis Bros Glass Co. for several years; was a self-employed barber for 20 years. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Sarah Bingham; brother, Herman "Nanny" Butler. Survived by wife of 30 years, Jacquelyn "Jackie" Butler; children, Jeffrey Butler, Kolevis Butler; stepson, Tony Henry (Carol); stepdaughter, Robbin Henry; friend, Leroy; grands, Jeffrey Butler Jr., Jory Butler, Na'Kyia Butler, Leonard Walker Jr.; sisters, Martha Dar-rigo, Marina Banks (Thomas Sr.); nieces, nephews; special cousin-like a brother, James Earl Bradley (Jeraldine), Margaret Williams; cousins, Willie W., Willie R., Jack B. and Robert T., Herbert T., Morris "AL" T., Herman "Buddy" B. and Herbert T. Jr.; special friends, Willie W., Willie R., Jack B., Robert T.; great-nieces, nephews, relativ-es & friends. Visitation will be at Aiken Funeral Home, Friday, April 18, 5-8 pm. Family will receive friends 6:30-7:30 pm. Family & friends are asked to meet at church on Saturday for the service.
