RIGHT, Warren L. "Chick" 83, of Blairsville, Georgia passed away May 8, 2013 at his home. He was born Aug. 3, 1929 in Milford, CT to the late Leslie and Florence (Eisenman) Right. Chick proudly served his country during the Korean War in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS 134 Des Moines. He began a life long career in electronics. He retired from Norden, Inc. (Division of United Technologies Corp.) and made his home in Madeira Beach, FL for 17 years with his wife, Elaine. He continued his passion for sailing and deep sea fishing and was a member of the Coast Guard Auxiliary in Bridgeport, CT as well as the Pequonnock Yacht Club in CT. He was also a member of the B.P.O.E. in Madeira Beach, FL. After the death of first wife, he married Jean Palmer of St. Petersburg, FL and moved to Blairsville, GA where they enjoyed the serenity of the mountains for 23 years. There he was a member of the VFW and Coosa United Methodist Church. Chick will be fondly remembered by all who knew him but especially missed by his family: wife, Jean; daughters, Sharon Right of Hatfield, PA and Candace Right of South Windsor, CT; his half-brother, Bob and his wife Cathy Right of Shelton, CT; as well as several nieces and nephews. Chick was predeceased by his wife, Elaine (nee Strack); his half-brother, Thomas Meyn; and his half-sister, Edthye DeCava. Funeral services were private; a memorial service will be held at a later date. The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Blairsville, GA Humane Society/Mountain Shelter.
