BRYAN, William Edward "Ed", age 85, of Clearwater, met his Lord on Nov. 19, 2013, after a sudden illness. Ed was the son of John L. Bryan and Alma S. Bryan. He was born in Orlando, and moved to Tampa as a youth. Ed graduated from Plant High School and later, from the University of Florida with a degree in Business Administration. He served in the United States Coast Guard and the United States Naval Reserve, Intelligence Division, retiring in 1988. In Clearwater in 1968, he opened his own accounting company which is now called Bryan Financial Services. He is survived by his devoted wife of 55 years, Emily; and two sons, Ed Jr. and his wife, Patty, and John and his wife, Amy. Ed is also survived by his sister, Marcelle Thomas of Tampa; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy McClure of Columbus, GA. He has six grandchildren, Jillian, Andrew, Matthew, Rachel, Daniel, & Zackery; one great-grand-daughter, Emily Jane; six nieces and nephews. A celebration of his life service will be held at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 2001 Rainbow Drive, Clearwater, FL 33765, 2 pm, Dec. 2nd. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall.
