Den BLEYKER, Lt. Col.William G. age 62, of Tampa, passed away on Tuesdasy, Nov. 12, 2013. Survivors include his loving wife of 40 years, Beverly; his mother, Ruth DenBleyker; brother, Ken DenBleyker; sister-in-laws, Valerie Barber and Noreen Myers; his beloved cat, Candi; and several nieces, nephews, and friends. A 1969 graduate of Clifton High School in New Jersey, William enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1970. William married Beverly Rose of Gibbstown, NJ, in 1973 and they immediately left for a 3 year tour to Hawaii. Bill had many assignments including two at Scott AFB in Illinois where they met many special friends. Lt. Col. DenBleyker retired from the United States Air Force in 2002 after an assignment at U.S. Central Command. He then consulted for Booz Allen Hamilton where he was still employed. Bill was a Life Member of the VFW, a member of Port Tampa City American Legion, a member of AW Windhorst Lodge No. 185 and a proud member of Egypt Shrine and the Pharaohs Motorcycle Unit. Family will receive friends from 5-8 pm, on Sunday, Nov. 17th, at the Blount and Curry West Chapel, 6802 Silvermill Drive, Tampa. A funeral service will be held at 10 am, on Monday, Nov. 18th, at the funeral home, followed by interment at Florida National Cemetery at 1 pm, with full military honors. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Flowers are welcome, donations can also be made to the Masonic Home of Florida or the Egypt Shriner's Patient Transportation Fund.
