Stice, Betty Gill of Town & Country passed into the loving arms of our Lord on Mon., April 1, 2013. Beloved wife of James Oliver Stice for over 66 years; dearest mother of Susan Reis (Carl) and James G. Sandy Stice (Dale), Atlanta; loving grandmother of James Robert Stice and Kate McKay Stewart (Peter), Panama and Matthew Clayton Stice, Atlanta; dear sister of William L. Gill and sister-in-law Nancy Lumpkin. Betty graduated from Webster Groves High School, Christian College, Columbia and University of Missouri School of Journalism. A member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority; she was Publicity Director of Christian College, volunteer den mother in Cub and Brownie Scouts, consumer advocate at KMOX Call for Action and mentor at Tillman Elementary School. Betty was a member of Webster Groves Christian Church for 48 years, a deaconess, elder, 25 year choir member and chair of major arts festivals. She had been a member of First Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood since 1995. The family is especially grateful to her loving friend and caregiver, Shirley Miller, and to the superb staff of Mari de Villa. Services: Memorial service Tuesday April 9, 2pm at First Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Adams, Kirkwood. Visitation following. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery is private.
