Miller, Charles E. Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Sunday, February 2, 2014. Born June 21, 1940 to the late Francis and Helen Miller (nee Luebbers). Beloved husband for 50 years of Joan Miller (nee Cowgill). Loving father of Christine (Scott) Pellerin, Edward (Jennifer) Miller, Daniel (Pamela) Miller; cherished Papa of Taylor, Nicole, Michael Pellerin; Alex Miller, Taylor Nicole, Maddie Powell; Logan, Kaitlyn, Tyler Miller. Dear brother of Roger Miller, Judith Kreider, Evelyn Gaddis, and the late Margaret Mary Diecker, Joan Book, and William Miller, dear brother-inlaw, uncle, cousin and lifelong friend of Fred Pecka. Boy Scout 1948È1958, Enlisted Navy 1958È1961, Shrewsbury Fireman 1961È1963, Clayton Fireman 1963È1999. Retired as Fire Chief of Clayton. Code Enforcement Research Coordinator St. Louis County, 1999-2005. Wash U. graduate; Fire Technology degree from St. Louis Community College. Past President of MABOI. Past Board Member of Building Officials and Code Administrators. Founding Member and Instructor of the Greater St. Louis County Fire Academy. Founding Member Missouri Fire Marshal's Association. Greatest accomplishments È dedicated husband, father, and loving Papa to 9 grandchildren. Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois, Wednesday, February 12, 9:30 a.m. for 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church. Interment Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Backstoppers or Responder Rescue. Visitation Tuesday, 4-8 p.m.
