Kreyling Jr., Edward George 90, of Reston, Virginia, Asleep in Jesus, September 20, 2013, at home. WWII Purple Heart recipient. Retired VP Marketing Services, Norfolk Southern Corporation. Beloved husband of the late Mary Gronemeyer Kreyling, loving father of Carol Knight (Robert), Deborah Risseeuw (Hugh) and Edward Kreyling III (Pamela). Dear grandfather of Shari Maruca (Donald), Becky Zeiller (Robert), Lisa Campet (Mathieu), Mary Lumpkin (Bryce) and Rose Kreyling. Great grandfather of 9. Dear brother of Dorothy Schneider (Charles), Lucille Lochmann (Russ), both of St. Louis, and the late Audrey Daniel (Jack). Edward enlisted in the army in 1944 and was seriously wounded in the Battle of the Bulge. He began his railroad career with the Frisco in his hometown of St. Louis. After retirement, he served on the Virginia Beach School Board in 1991. Services: Service and burial will be December 4, 2013 at 11:00 am at the Post Chapel, Fort Myer and Arlington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
