Copeland, Jack L. 83, of Chesterfield, entered into rest Friday, January 3, 2014 Devoted husband and best friend for 59 years of Donna Copeland (nee Evans). Loving father of Jeffrey Copeland (Linda); Karin Bohn (Kevin); Sharon Lamkin (Walter); and John Copeland (Sue). Wonderful Poppy of ten grandchildren: Nicholas, Jackie, Kathryn, Crystal, Matt, Mike, Carrie, Kelly, Jessica, and Jason -and nine great-grandchildren. Also dear father-in-law, brotherin-law, uncle, great-uncle, cousin, friend and neighbor to many. Jack proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He founded Town and Country Climate Control Specialists, a company he owned and operated for thirty years. Jack was a Board Member of the Conway Meadows Condominium Association and was often referred to fondly as The Mayor. In retirement, Jack was an avid gardener, handyman, enjoyed rehabbing houses, and loved traveling the globe with Donna. He will be remembered for his zest for life, infectious laugh, sense of humor, and leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love and devotion to family and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his honor may be made to the Missouri Botanical Garden -- or buy a bottle of wine and have a party! Services: Private entombment at Bellerive Gardens Mausoleum. A memorial service celebrating Jack's life will be held Saturday, January 11th, 2014, 3 p.m., at Bellerive Country Club, 12925 Ladue Road, Creve Coeur, MO 63141, with a reception to follow.
