Chunn, James Robert Bob of Ruma, IL died Friday March 1, 2013, holding the hand of the sweetheart of his life, Claudene Goldie. Born April 6, 1930 to Jesse & Della (Griffith) Chunn in East Prairie, MO, joining Joe (Helen), Alice (Ted), Herb (Mary), Lil (Harvey), Vic (Juanita), Wayne (Rose), Faye, Allen (Johnny), Pat (Ray), Myron (Lucy), Kathryn. Married Claudene Simpson at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Ruma October 7, 1950. Lovingly raised six children, Rick (Susan), Carol Couch (Richard), late Steve (Jayna), Tina Erickson (Jay), Ron (Melaney), Kris Budnicki (John), adored grandchildren, Candace Coulombe (Marc), Josh Luecking (Courtney), Lindsey Briggs (Dan), ETSN Patrick & Alicia Erickson, Joy, Jordan and Katelyn Budnicki, angels Steeli & Sammy Chunn, great-grandchildren Parker, Claudette & Margot Coulombe, Aubree Budnicki, Evelyn & Natalie Briggs. Beloved husband, father, father-in-law, grandfather, greatgrandfather, godfather, brother, brother-in-law, cousin, uncle, friend to many. Post WWII veteran in France, giant in field of purchasing, church, boys' sports, Republican Party and community at large. Caring, kind, generous, determined, happy, optimistic man with huge heart, much loved by his very large family & many friends, living his life to the fullest to his last hour. Many thanks to countless doctors, nurses, aides & therapists at Red Bud Regional, Mercy Hospital, ADHC, Quarters of Des Peres & Addus who tirelessly, cheerfully helped Bob through his recent illness. Donations may be made to Ronald Reagan Scholarship Fund Randolph County, St Patrick's Cemetery Fund, Mass Intentions. Services: Visitation at WelgePechacek in Red Bud, IL, 3-8 pm Friday March 8, 2013 & 8-10 am Saturday March 9. Mass at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Ruma, IL, 11 am Saturday March 9, with burial following in church cemetery.
