James Rollins Hoag Obituary
Hoag, James Rollins Jim of St. Charles, MO, peacefully passed away with his family by his side in the early morning hours of Thursday, July 24, 2014, at the age of 81. Jim was born on March 8, 1933, and was a Veteran of the Korean War. Jim was the beloved husband of Marilyn Hoag (Kiebler); loving father of Kelvin (Laura), Doug (Patti), Mark (Lisa) Hoag, and Robin Tinker (Scott); dear grandfather to Jimmy and Jaime Hoag, Michael and Nick Tinker, and Kaylin and Kristina Hoag; greatgrandfather to Jaime's sons, Weston and Curtis Heidotten, and loving uncle to Tim (Nancy) Persons, Kim (Rich) Thomas, Ed (Patti) Kiebler, Kevin Kiebler, Katie (Scott) Bockman, and his late nephew, Jeff Persons, and great-uncle to their children. James was the grandson of the late Missouri State Senator James Rollins, and son of the late Viola (Loren) Greason, and Hugh Hoag. Jim lost his sister, Patricia (Pat) Persons (Hoag) a few years ago. Jim was an Alumni of MIZZOU, where he earned his Journalism Degree, which he put to good use over the years writing and reporting, and eventually as a marketing professional where he worked for many years at CSI. Jim loved his wife, family, and friends dearly, and enjoyed watching the Cardinals baseball games with Marilyn. In their younger years, Jim and Marilyn traveled the world, and in his own words, Jim asked, Don't mourn me, I had a great run, and my lifetime was full and exciting, and I couldn't have asked for more. Services: Visitation will be held Sunday, July 27, 2014 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Oak Hill Funeral Home, 10301 Big Bend Road, Kirkwood, MO. Service will be Monday at 10 a.m. at Oak Hill Funeral Home. Interment Oak Hill Cemetery, Kirkwood, MO.
