Meiners, Leonard F. 1929-2013, 83 of St. Clair passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2013 at his home. Mr. Meiners, son of the late Leonard B. Meiners and wife Frances nee Litteken was born June 25, 1929 in St. Louis. He served his country in United States Marine Corp during the Korean War. He was a master Plumber owning and operating Meiners Plumbing Company, Midwest Piping and Meiners Heating and Cooling in St. Louis. He was a former Grand Knight, K of C in St. Clair, writer/poet and dedicated Philanthropist. On May 2, 1952 he was united in marriage to his first wife Florence Landgraf in Normandy, MO. On September 15, 1984 he was united in marriage to his second wife Joanne nee Charron in Normandy, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Florence Meiners; his second wife, Joanne Meiners; two grandchildren, Kristen Schwab and Christopher Cormier. Loving father of Linda (Daniel) Hutton, Theresa (Bill) Linek, Stephen (Debra) Meiners, Paul (Carolyn) Meiners & Lisa (Jack) Schwab; dear step-father of Debra Meiners (Stephen), Cheryl (Mitchell) Martin and Kenneth (Sherry) Cormier; dear grandfather of 25 and great-grandfather of 9; other relatives and many friends. Services: A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at St. Clare Catholic Church in St. Clair with Father Bob Knight officiating.
