Robert W. Bradshaw Obituary
Bradshaw, Robert W. Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, Thursday, February 20, 2014, at the age of 80. Born to Edmund and Teresa Scheyble Bradshaw, he was an army veteran. Beloved father of Mary (Kevin) Meehan and Robert William Bradshaw, Jr. (Julie Gullickson); dear brother of Patricia Bradshaw Lavender, of Little Rock, Arkansas and the late Edmund Bradshaw; grandfather of Thomas, Daniel, Colleen, Margaret, Robert III (Liam), and Lillian; loving companion of Mickey Mayfield; former husband of Patricia Walsh; dear uncle and friend to many. Bob completed his bachelor degree at Washington University night school while working for Monsanto. He retired from Monsanto after more than 30 years and began his own business as a broker at the St. Louis Auto Auction where he still worked one day a week until he died. He loved helping others, checking in with frequent phone calls to family and friends, and spending time every Saturday morning with the family drinking coffee while chatting about current affairs. Bob was fabulous in his most important role as true Dad for all, not only to his own children Mary and Bobby, but to his late brother's children Terry, Kathy and Michael, and to Mickey's children, Debbie, Scott and David, and Mickey's five grandchildren. Our father remained youthful, healthy and active to the end and was known for his unparalleled kindness to all, especially children and animals, both of whom seemed to naturally gravitate toward him. He was also the king of corny jokes which endeared him to many. He died peacefully surrounded by his family. Services: Funeral Friday, Feb. 28, 9:00am from COLLIER'S FUNERAL HOME, 3400 N. Lindbergh Blvd., to Holy Spirit Church, 3130 Parkwood Ln. Mass 9:30am. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the .
