HENRY, Danny Rue

Passed away April 15, 2014 at the age of 80 years. Born June 4, 1933 in Frederick, Oklahoma to Ottie Henry and Myrle Burnett Henry. Danny moved to California with his family as a young boy. He graduated from Sacramento High School in 1950. He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War where he was a crewmember aboard the destroyer escort U.S.S. Conway; moreover, he was a valiant patriot who loved his country. Later he worked as a machinist with the Southern Pacific Railroad and the Aerojet General Corporation. He enjoyed the outdoors and hunting, and he was a life member of The National Rifle Association. Danny was always a help and comfort to family, friends, and neighbors. During his last years, he resided in his rural home in Wilton, California. He is survived by his son, Danny; daughters, Denise Henry Wilson and Deta Henry; sister, Patricia Henry Buljan; nephew, Bruce Buljan; niece, Stacy Buljan Kunde; and numerous cousins. The family is holding a private graveside service April 24 at East Lawn Elk Grove where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved mother, Myrle Burnett Henry.
