WARBINGTON, David Lee
David lost his battle with cancer on April 11, 2014. He was a native Sacramentan, born May 1, 1951, to parents James and Birdie (Townsend) Warbington, who preceded him in death. David graduated from Sacramento High in 1969. He became well respected and loved within the automobile sales industry community, especially as a mentor, and was affectionately given the nickname 'Warbie.' David was a proud member of Sacramento B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge #6.
He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Dennice Boune' Warbington; his children, Duffy and Misty Warbington, Jannine Shoemaker- Warbington, Karen (Shoemaker) Pogue & son-in-law Randy Pogue, Patricia (Shoemaker) Gonsalves & son-in-law Vincent Gonsalves and their children; his grandchildren, Brianna Shoemaker, Alex Shoemaker, Lily, Olivia, Adri and Chelsea Gonsalves. He is also survived by his siblings, sister Pat Hamilton of Pearl, MS, brother Jim Warbington of Sac, CA, sister Pegy Reese of Como, MS, Donald Warbington of Virginia Beach, VA, and was preceded in death by sister Dottie Worth of Spokane, WA. He also has numerous cousins, neices and nephews, and dear friends whom he loved. He held a special place in his heart for brother-in-law William Boune' and wife Victoria. David was the greatest fan of the San Francisco 49er's and the SF Giants. He was also an avid golfer and baseball player with phenomenal natural skill and spent hours fishing with his grandson, Alex.
David's most precious treasure in life was his family, so we are inviting friends to join us in a Celebration of Life on Sunday, May 18th at 2:00 p.m. at the Warbington residence. For further information and to RSVP, please contact Patricia Gonsalves at email@example.com or Dave Mata at (916) 373-1947.
