Dick was born in Fort Collins, Colorado to Charles and Margaret Martinez, the fifth of seven children. After finishing school in Fort Collins, Dick joined the Navy and served four years. He then joined the Army for 12 years, followed by 6 years in the Army Reserves. He had a long career with the Setzer Forest Products, retiring after 30 years. Dick was an avid Denver Broncos fan and never missed watching a game. He loved golf in his later years and wood working was his favorite hobby. He loved his 4 dogs who were always by his side. He is survived by his loving wife Donna, his sisters Francis, Charlotte, Rachael, Mary and his brother Chris. Dick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. He will be missed and forever in our hearts. His resting place will be at the Sacramento Valley National Veterans Cemetery in Dixon, CA. A Celebration of Life will be held at his home on September 7th, 2013 from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
