HASKIN, Jr., Elmer George
Beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed from this life into eternity at his Roseville home on Sept. 29, 2013 with his wife, Ann, at his side. Born Dec. 12, 1927 to Elmer Sr. and Josephine Haskin in Ukiah, California, he served in the U.S. Marine Corps, studied at Humbolt and USC, worked in broadcasting in Los Angeles, Oregon and Humbolt County for the next 29 years. During that time he also worked for U.S. Congressman Don Clausen. In 1983, he moved to Alameda and finished his career working for General Services Agency in San Francisco before retiring in Roseville, California.

Elmer will be remembered for his lifetime of career achievement and civic leadership. He was a Rotarian for 38 years, active USC Trojan and member of the Trojan band, as well as a member of many Clubs and Boards. Elmer married Mary (Harris) Haskin in 1956 who predeceased him in 2010. Elmer is survived by his wife Ann, sons Greg and Todd, and grandchildren Ryan and Paige Haskin.

His great love of life, combined with his enduring love of music, aviation, politics and broadcasting will long be remembered and greatly missed by family and friends. A Celebration of Life is scheduled for 12 noon on Nov. 16, 2013 at St. John's Episcopal Church, 2351 Pleasant Grove Blvd., Roseville, CA 95747.
