BARONE, Eugene Peter
Of Sacramento, Has been called home to the Lord on 2/11/2014 at the age of 93.

Eugene was born in Stockton, CA on 5/7/1920 and was married to Avis Mary Barone on 5/18/1942.

Beloved husband to Avis Mary Barone, loving father to Robert Eugene (Lori) Barone, grandfather to Austin and Lily Barone, Rob and Justin (Jessica) Mountain, great-grandpa to Makayla, Kameron and Bryce Mountain, brother to Clarence Barone, Lisa Dowdey and close family friend Doris Degregorio.

Proceeded in death by his parents Ruby and Peter Barone, siblings John, Blanche, Gertrude, and Eleanor, further survived by many nephews, nieces and other relatives and friends.

Gene (as he liked to be called) worked for 35 years for Rainbow Bread in Sacramento, CA.

Mr. Barone was a long time member of the Elks Lodge in Sacramento. His hobbies included bowling, dancing with his wife Avis, wood working, gardening and he could catch a trout in a stream anywhere.

Gene was a happy-go-lucky guy, who loved to whistle and help his neighbors.

Mr. Barone served in Europe during World War II, fought in five battles, received the Purple Heart and was part of the 3rd Armored Division, also known as Spearhead.

Eugene Barone was cremated and a full military service will be held at a future date and time.
