JOHNSON, F. Harold
Passed away peacefully at the age of 83 on Nov. 16, 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Christine Terry Johnson, who passed away in 2009. Hal was born in St. Louis, Missouri on June 19, 1930, moving to Centralia Illinois as a young child. He attended medical school at the University of Illinois before joining the navy as a flight surgeon aboard the aircraft carrier USS Hornet. After spending 5 years in San Diego, he moved his family to Roseville in 1960 where he practiced family medicine as a founding member of the Oakridge Medical Group. Hal was very involved in the Roseville community, serving on the school board, city council and as a proud member of the Shriners. Hal is survived by his son Kent and his wife Tracey, daughter Tracy and her husband Keith, 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank Beverly Beaman and UC Davis Hospice for the caring support and solace they provided during a difficult time. A celebration of life is planned within a few weeks.
