GALLIANI, Fred Louis
Fred was born October 8, 1918 to Louis Galliani and Erminda Pinasco in Lima, Peru and passed on March 11, 2013. Moved to Sacramento in 1926 and graduated Sacramento High School in 1937 and Sacramento City College in 1940. Married our beloved mother Tena Kuck in 1941 who went to our Lord in 1998. Served with honor in WWII in the Pacific Theater and in Japan. He is survived by 5 loving children Susan (Stacey Juell), Janet, Marcie Hoegh, John and Tracy Kerth (Rob). Has 5 wonderful grandchildren Brad, Dustin (April), Ian, Jeannine, Katie and Kylie and two great grandchildren Gracie and Tanner. He is also survived by his dearest and loving companion of twelve years Barbara Bennett Kelly. Fred is also survived by his sister Nellie Elaine Brown and sisters in-law Olga Dreith, Zelma Dodson, Jennie Neill, cousin Julius (Claire) and many nieces and nephews. Fred was preceded in death by his brother Ernesto and his wife Nobuko.
Fred started his career working for PG&E in the Electrical Division and then onto SMUD and ending his successful career with the Office of State Architecture as an Electrical Estimator.
Was a thirty year member of Elks Lodge 6 and enjoyed working on the PM crew with his buddies.
He was a caring and compassionate man who always was willing to lend a hand and fix a lamp. We were all lucky because he was one of the greatest Dads in the world. He found peace within his faith.
Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 19, 2013 at 1:30 pm at Holy Spirit Church, 3159 Land Park Drive, Sacramento.
