DUNCAN Jr., John A. "Jack" Born in Idaho on July 21, 1921. He went to be with his Lord on August 24, 2014 at his home in Orangevale, CA where he resided for the last 57 years. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Gertie of 61 years, his five children Linda, Velma, Christie, Dee and preceded in death by his son, John. He was loved and respected by his fourteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. His brothers Ed, Bill and Lyle survive him and he was preceded in death by his four sisters Beth, Pat, Laura and Connie. He was a WWII Veteran in the United States Marine Corp who fought on Guadalacanal. In 1986 he retired from Aerojet as a scale mechanic and then devoted his time to his wife and family. He loved fishing, hunting, camping and playing softball with the Golden Seniors. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Friends are welcome for visitation Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 5-8 p.m. at Oak Avenue Church (8790 Oak Avenue, Orangevale, CA), and are invited to his Celebration of Life at the Oak Avenue Church on August 29, 2014 at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Fair Oaks District Cemetery.
