QUINN, Lorena Mildred
Born on May 8th, 1915 in Laurel, Iowa, peacefully left us on Sept. 3rd, 2013. Lorena, a resident of Sacramento since 1951, was preceded in death by her husband, John Calvin Quinn. Lorena is survived by her 5 daughters, Diane Traynor (James Traynor), Judith Manoa (Gordon Manoa), Susanne Smith (Mark Smith), Leanne Quinn, and Terianne Macias (Mike Macias). She was a loving grandmother of 13 and a great grandmother of 10, as well as many extended family.
Lorena was a true pioneer of her time earning a masters degree at the University of Iowa in the field of childhood psychology. She went on to become a school teacher serving the San Juan Unified School District for many years. She was a devoted Jehovah's Witness who introduced many of her family to the Truth found in God's word, the Bible, and was dedicated to serving Jehovah.
As the matriarch of our family she was the cornerstone that kept us all together. We will always love her and she will be greatly missed.
Services to be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 1265 Jonas Ave, Sacramento, CA. on Sept. 14th, 2013 at 1:00 p.m.
