WIESER, Michael Jerome
Passed away peacefully in his sleep on Feb. 27th while in the hospice care of his niece and nephew, Mary Jo and Doug Farrell, with his wife Mary Ann at his side. Born on March 24, 1944 in Sacramento. He attended Sac. High. He enlisted in the Marines in 1963, served during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart for wounds received in battle. Later returning to civilian life Mike again would serve his country, joining the U.S. Navy, aboard the attack vessel, U.S.S. Cleveland. After his time in the service, he met and later married Mary Ann in 1985. He is preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Johanna, brothers Don and Tom and sisters Bernadine, Delores, Mary and Roberta. He is survived by his wife Mary Ann, stepsons Anthony and Scott, brother Bernard and sisters Shirley, Bert and Joan. He leaves behind nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, who loved him dearly. Military Services will be at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery at 5810 Midway Rd., Dixon, CA. March 20, 2014 at 11:00am. 'Now a Marine is on duty at the Pearly Gates with St. Peter.'
