Paul is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Audrenne (Audie) and their children Marla Van Cleve (Grady Van Cleve); Lyn Harvey (John Green), and Lyn's children, Ryan and Samantha Harvey along with numerous cousins.

Paul was born in Sacramento to Pioneer families of Northern California and Nevada. He attended McClatchy High School and California State University, Sacramento. Paul proudly served in the U.S. Navy during 1945-46. Paul met his wife Audie when they were both teaching at Hollywood Park Elementary School. His teaching career spanned 31 years.

He was a proud member of the Lions International Club (Arden and Cabrillo Host) for over 50 years, Masons Bi Centennial Daylight Lodge #830, Ambassadors Club, CalRTA and SIRS.

A service will be held to celebrate Paul's life on Saturday, April 19 at 2:00 pm at the California Auto Museum on Front Street. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Northern California Lions Sight Association or a .
