Paul J. Erickson, 89, of Turlock, CA, went home to be with the Lord on October 29, 2013 after a short illness.

Paul was born in Whitehall, Wisconsin on August 25, 1924. He retired from Sacramento City Unified School District where he taught Industrial Arts for 38 years.

Paul was Honorably Discharged from the Army in 1945 after serving in Europe during WWII in Company B, 36th Armored Infantry. He was a member of Epsilon Phi Tau, National Education Association, California Teachers Association, an Honorary Life Member of the PTA, and was named California Industrial and Technology Education Associations Outstanding Man of the Year in 1987.

He is preceded in death by first wife, Shirley Uber, and their son Eugene Erickson, and step-daughter Marilyn Jondle and her husband David Scott Jondle.

Paul is survived by wife, Jean Erickson; sister Irene Kaiser; daughter Karen Waggoner; daughter-in-law Sally Erickson; 6 grandsons and 4 great-granddaughters.

A memorial service will be held in Berg Hall at Covenant Village of Turlock, 2125 N. Olive Ave. on Saturday, November 9 at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place at East Lawn Sierra Hills in Sacramento on Monday, November 25 at 11:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Covenant Village of Turlock Benevolent Care Fund (2125 N Olive Ave., Turlock, CA 95382).
