CAMPBELL, William 'Bill'
Age 86, of Rancho Cordova, CA. Bill died Thursday, April 4, 2014 at Sutter General Hospital in Sacramento, CA.
Born December 27, 1927 in Randsburg, CA. He was the son of Tom and Oza Campbell. Bill was a Commercial Artist and Woodmaker. He served in the Army in World War II from 1945 to 1947, having trained at Camp Beal in Marysville, CA and was stationed at Fort Lewis, WA.
Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years, Donna Campbell and three children: Randy Campbell (Micki) of Valley Springs, CA, Diana Thibodaux (Neil) of Buckeye, AZ and Jerry Campbell (deceased); four grandchildren Amy Campbell Wakefield (Sean) of Walkill, NY; Lindsay Thibodaux Michaud (Steven) of Tempe, AZ; Scott Thibodaux of Litchfield Park, AZ; step-granddaughter, Lisa Steadman of Miami Beach, FL; brother, George Campbell of Sparks, NV; sisters Carrie Janson of Roseville, CA; Linda Jerdon of Grass Valley, CA. Bill was preceded in death by brothers Tom Campbell of Rancho Cordova, CA, Fred Campbell; sisters Ida Mae Grieb and Martha Brandenberg.
The viewing will be held on Friday, April 11 from 4 to 7 p.m. followed by a rosary at George Klumpp Chapel of the Flowers, 2691 Riverside Blvd. in Sacramento. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, April 12, 12 p.m., at St. Joseph's Chapel, located at St. Mary's Cemetery, 6700 21st Ave. in Sacramento. Interment will follow.
