GARRISON, William Delaney
Born in San Francisco on 11/23/48, he died at home in Sacramento on 9/1/13. A 1966 graduate from Norte Del Rio H.S., he served in the Vietnam war as a Marine. He was a proud and active member of the VA Center in Citrus Heights. He earned his J.D. at McGeorge School of Law and worked for the Sacramento Sheriffs Dept. as well. He loved construction and made that his career. He now rejoins his father, the late William A. Garrison, his brother the late Daniel Garrison and will be deeply missed by his mother, Patricia T. Garrison, his children: William, Ryan (Sara) and Kerry (Jeff) as well as his grandchildren: William, Kailey, Imogen and Ilora all of Sacramento. He is also survived by siblings, Kim Kirkpatrick (Kirk) of Temecula, Patricia Marie Garrison of Sacramento and brother Kelly Garrison of Los Angeles. He was the uncle of Michael Kirkpatrick (Jodi, and children Dylan & Madison), Kathlene Ceklovsky (Michael), and son Aidan. His motto was, 'It is in giving that you receive.' No one was a stranger to him especially other vets in need. He could fix anything, was a math whiz and a voracious reader. He will be deeply missed. A Mass will be held (9/6) at Calvary Cem. Chapel, 7101 Verner Rd., Sacto. at 1:00pm. Committal with Military Honors will follow as well as a reception to share memories. Sign the on-line guestbook at
