RODRIGUEZ, Willie 'Rod'
Age 85, born in Brownwood, Texas, April 6, 1928, peacefully passed December 9, 2013.
He joined the U.S. Army during the Korean War and served our country faithfully seven years. He ended his enlistment with the U.S. Air Force after promoting to the rank of Technical Sergeant. In 1953, after completing his military service, he moved to California, he started a career with the State of California, retiring after forty years from the Department of Corrections as a Business Services Officer II. He is survived by his brother, Jesus Rodriguez, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorial services were held on December 19, 2013, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 800 Todhunter Ave., West Sacramento, CA. Burial services were held December 20, 2013, at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, 5810 Midway Road, Dixon, CA. Reception immediately followed services.
