ASHEBORO - Robert "Bob" Jacob Lefler, age 88, of Salisbury, formerly of Asheboro, died Thursday, Dec. 19, 2013, at the NC State Veterans Home in Salisbury.

Mr. Lefler was born April 22, 1925, in Rowan County to the late Claude and Jessie Lefler.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.

He was a former realtor in Northern Virginia, was a truck driver for himself and Klopman Mills and retired from Atlas Sales.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his brother, Haywood Lefler.

He is survived by sisters Claudia L. Graham of Thomasville, Bobbie Jean Clow of Utah; brothers William Lefler of Winston-Salem, Jack Lefler of Hedgesville, W.Va., Terry Lefler of Chambersburg, Pa.; many loving nieces and nephews.

Service and Visitation: Funeral services will be held Sunday, Dec. 22 at 2 p.m. at Pugh Funeral Home Chapel, 437 Sunset Ave., Asheboro. The family will receive friends following the funeral service. A private burial will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery.
