Paul E. Armstrong

SALISBURY - Paul Edward Armstrong, 80, of Salisbury, died April 8, 2013, surrounded by his family at home.

Paul was born on Oct. 29, 1932, in Pontiac, Mich., the son of the late John E. Armstrong and Mary A. Fandale Armstrong.

Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and reserves. After the service, Paul began to work with Weyerhaeuser Paper Company in their Sales and Service division. After 20-plus years with them, he retired and moved to Salisbury to be closer to family.

Since moving to Salisbury, he became a member of Franklin Baptist Church, where he served as a Deacon to the church. During his time at the church, Paul touched many lives. His smile and spirit was addicting. You could never get enough.

Paul is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marguerite; four children, daughter Katherine Porter (husband Daniel, grandson David and great-grandson Daniel); daughter Sheryl Bieberle (husband Dathan), granddaughters Kathryn, Autumn, Rebekah and Kristina); daughter Vicky Couch (grandson Joshua); and son Paul Armstrong Jr. (wife Bridgette and grandson Max).

Paul's proudest possession in his life was his family and he let them know that every opportunity he had.
