Dr. Boyd and his family moved to Salisbury in 1967 and he began a career for many years as a Professor of Chemistry and Physical Science at Livingstone College. He left Salisbury and moved to Greensboro where he served as the Chairman of the Chemistry Department at Bennett College, where he retired.
