Robert H. Linker

SALISBURY - Robert Hampton Linker, 70, of Salisbury, passed away Sunday, April 20, 2014, at his residence.

He was born March 21, 1944, in Durham County, son of the late Francis Greene Linker and Worth Hampton Linker.

Robert was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and was a truck driver. He was of the Baptist denomination.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents and aunts and uncles.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Carolyn Ellenburg Linker, who he married on March 1, 2014; sons Robert Linker, Jr. (Lisa) of Salisbury and David Linn of Salisbury; stepdaughters Haley Ellenburg, Hanna Ellenburg and Amanda Henderson of Newport, Tenn.; brothers Michael Linker, Ervin "Wayne" Linker of South Carolina and Richard "Dickie" Linker; grandchildren Alivia Linn, Steven Linn and Sarah Linker; and step-grandchildren Caden Henderson and Amanda Morris.

Celebration of Life: 11 a.m. Saturday, April 26 at the deceased's residence with the Rev. Harold Jordan officiating.

Graveside: 10 a.m. Monday, April 28 at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesville Blvd., Salisbury, NC 28144 with military rites by the Lyerly Volunteer Honor Guard.
