SALISBURY - Mr. Thomas Padrick Corriher, 85, of Salisbury, passed away Thursday, Feb. 6, 2014, at the N.C. State Veterans Home.
Born Oct. 24, 1928, in Rowan County, he was the son of the late Mitchell Brevard and Margaret Padrick Corriher. He was a graduate of Landis High School and attended Lees-McRae College. Mr. Corriher served in the U.S. Air Force.
He was a lifetime member of Back Creek Presbyterian Church. He worked for Cannon Mills for 30 years as an assistant secretary. In his retirement, he served as a volunteer for the NC Transportation Museum and a host for Amtrak.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, M.B. Corriher Jr.; and close cousin Callie Biles.
Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Mike Oakley (Gail) of Mooresville; brother Kenneth Corriher (Ruth) of Mooresville; and close cousin Frances Kimball. Also surviving him are his grandchildren, Trisha Calvert (Marty), Meredith Oakley; and great-grandson Milas Calvert, all of Mooresville.
Arrangements: Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday at 2 p.m. at Back Creek Presbyterian Church with Rev. Bill Thrailkill, minister. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church following the service.
