Welborn Williams, Sr.

SALISBURY - Welborn Williams Sr., 70, of Salisbury, who was born July 14, 1943 to the late Steven and Helen Williams in Hoke County, made his final destination on Friday Feb. 7, 2014 at Glenn A. Kiser Hospice House, Salisbury.

He was last employed in Food Services at Rowan Regional Medical Center (Novant) and was a United States Army veteran.

He was preceded in death by a daughter Shawn Lewis and brother, Steven Williams, Jr.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Turner Williams of the home; son, Welborn Williams, Jr.; brother, Alonzo (Pam) Williams, of Wilmington; mother-in-law, Emma Turner of Salisbury; grandchildren, Charles Turner, Nicholas Stinson, Shannah Adkins, Joshua Lewis and Kimori Williams; great- grandchildren, Zion Adkins and Iyanna Stinson; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 at Rowan Funeral Services Chapel. Burial will follow in City Memorial Cemetery. The family will recieve friends 30 minutes prior to service.
