Aileen Elizabeth Lewis Sparks
1956 ~ 2013
On July 21, at the age of 57, Aileen Elizabeth Sparks, wife, mother, and grandmother passed away peacefully with her family by her side.
Aileen was born July 18, 1956 To Marvin and Verna Lewis in Pocatello, ID.
She had been fighting a liver disease, and later
Aileen married Michael Sparks on November 3, 1979 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple and raised four amazing boys.
She attended LDS business collage where she graduated with an associate in bookkeeping.
She worked for SME Steel contractors and made many friends and loved the people and the work that she did.
She actively worked in the primary for many years as a teacher, she later was called to be the Weblos leader and worked for 11 years with the boys and earned the Unit Leader Award of Merit.
She served as the advancement chairperson for a Boy Scout troop where she helped. All of her four boys earn the rank of Eagle.
She was loved and admired by all that knew her and will be truly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Michael, children Marshall (Kajsa), Jarron (Lindsay), Nicholas (Britny), Austin (Autumn), seven grandchildren, her brothers Mark Lewis (Annette), Steven Lewis, Kevin Lewis (Orella), and sister Maxine Martin (Ed).
She was preceded in Death by her parents, and two brothers, Darrin, and Ralph Lewis.
The Sparks family would like to extend its heartfelt gratitude to Intermountain Medical Center emergency staff, the ICU staff, and the unified emergency staff that helped her.
Service will be on Friday, July 26, 2013 at the LDS Valley View Ward 5927 South Park Wood Dr (5030 W) at 11:00 a.m. with a viewing one hour prior (10-11 a.m.)
