1928 - 2014 Obituary Condolences
Charles Richard O'Sullivan
"Uncle Chuck"
Chuck passed away peacefully on Sunday afternoon March 30, 2014 at the age of 86.
Chuck was born February 24, 1928 to Charles Thomas Sullivan and Stella Rhodes. He graduated from Judge Memorial High School. He married Janet Brown on November 4, 1950. Chuck served proudly as a Merchant Marine in World War II and then served in Korea during the Korean War in the US Army obtaining the rank of Sergeant First Class. He retired after a life long career at Mountain Bell / US West. Chuck and Janet were members of the Towne House Athletic Club. They were active volunteers in local Republican Party politics. They counted many friends among their neighbors around their Millcreek home where they lived for over 50 years. Chuck spent many long hours walking his dog Benji. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and a good laugh.
Chuck is preceded in death by his life long love and companion, Janet. He is survived by nieces Bonnie Beckstead and Leslie Lees and family.
He was our very own "Irishman"!
The family wishes to thank Alta Ridge Assisted Living, Dr. Stephen Aslami, and the caregivers of Community Nursing Service Hospice notably Chaplain John Mueller and especially Camille Snell for their kind and loving care shown to Chuck.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Wasatch Lawns Memorial Park (3401 South Highland Drive). A viewing from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM will precede the service.
