Earl Edward Crane
1922 ~ 2013
Earl Edward Crane, 90, passed away Jan. 5, 2013 in South Jordan, Utah. He was born March 17, 1922 in Lehi, Utah to Charles Lorenzo and Lavern Fox Crane. He married Birdie Palmer on June 18, 1942 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Earl served his country in the Navy Seabees during World War II. He was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in many positions over the years. He and Birdie served a mission together at Adam-Ondi-Ahman from 1981-1983.
He is survived by his wife, Birdie; children, Linda (Sid) Sandstrom, Kenneth (Andrea) Crane, Bruce (Carla) Crane, Brad (Susan) Crane, Joseph (Kathie) Crane, Lucene (Hal) Thayne, Kelly (Cheryl) Crane, Ralph (Denise) Crane, and Dix (Darla) Crane; 56 grandchildren, 153 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Warlough (Audry) Crane, and Ray (LaVee) Crane; sisters-in-law, Carolyn Crane and Hazel Crane.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, Jan. 10, at 11 a.m. at the South Jordan Stake Center, 2450 West 10400 South, where there will be a viewing Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and again Thursday 9:30-10:45 a.m. Interment, South Jordan City Cemetery. www.goffmortuary.com
