Frederic George Bruhns died peacefully February 19, 2013, at home in Draper, UT following a lengthy illness, with his wife and daughter by his side.
He was born November 8, 1926 to Frederic George Bruhns and Viola Trewin in Rawlings, Wyoming.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings.
He leaves his wife of 25 years, Lynda Lundberg Bruhns; his daughter Stacy Haaga, her husband Justin, and his granddaughters Maddisyn and McKenzie. He is also survived by his children from previous marriages, Cheryl Anne, Neil Ray, Alan, and Diedre Bruhns.
He was a rancher in his youth, then served 5 years as a Navy Seal during World War II. Eventually residing in Salt Lake City, he spent the remainder of his working years as a long haul truck driver. He was a cowboy at heart, loved the out-of-doors and was an avid fisherman.
The family thanks Rocky Mountain Care Center for their excellent hospice care,and SereniCare Funeral Home for their loving service.
A funeral service will be held Monday, February 25, 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, River View 6th Ward, 287 W. River Chapel Rd. (11620 So), Draper.
