1931 ~ 2013|
Gerard David Doezie, our beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather returned to his Heavenly Father on November 19th at 9:33 in the evening. He was born on February 21st 1931 in Salt Lake City. He is survived by his sister, Toni Brinkerhoff. He is also survived by his 4 children; Dave and JoAnn Doezie, DeeAn and Robert Dangerfield, Cheryl and Scott Hanks, and Julie Doezie; his 14 grandchildren and his 25 great grandchildren. One special great grandson was waiting to greet him upon his passing. Our Dad loved life, his family and his country. Dad was very proud to be an American and to serve in the US Navy; specifically in the Korean War. It was always very important to Dave to share his knowledge and insight with his family. Sometimes, though, he was a hard person to listen to… His words of wisdom were always shared out of love and for the betterment of his family. Dad only held extreme love and admiration for each of his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Every person, individually, was the most important person and joy in his life. Lastly, to all those who were able to share in his life, we, each of us, are better people because of our dad, Dave Doezie.
Graveside services will be held Friday, November 22nd 2013, at 1:00 p.m. at Murray City Cemetery, 5600 South Vine Street, Murray.
Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.jenkins-soffe.com.
