"Finally Found a Quiet Place"
John Edward Kimberlin Jr., 76, passed away October 30, 2012 in West Valley City, Utah.
Born March 5, 1936 in Alexandria, Louisiana, son of John Edward and Gladys Cross Kimberlin. Married Marsha Lee Miles March 25, 1960; solemnized in the LDS Temple March 25, 1975. Member of the LDS Church. Served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. John was such a cute, funny, grumpy old man. He was known as the neighborhood watch dog, the Salvation Army unhired, unpaid help, and the man who was kind and friendly to everyone. We love you and will miss you very much.
Survived by wife, Marsha; children: John "Rusty" (Jana), Sunday (Russ) Taylor, Rick (Amanda), LaRayne (Harvey) Burrows, Derrick, Ronalee (Clay) Taylor; and 2 adopted grandsons, Scott (Cindy) and Dillon; 20 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers; 1 sister; and his spoiled dog, Binka. Preceded in death by his parents and 8 siblings.
Funeral services will be held Monday, November 5, 2012, 12:00 noon at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 South Redwood Road where viewings will be held Sunday, 6-8 p.m. and Monday, 11-11:45 a.m. Interment, Utah Veterans Memorial Park.
