Jack Park, our loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend passed away on September 16, 2013. He was born August 6, 1922 in Salt Lake City, Utah to John Park and Florence Decker.
Jack served in the US Naval-Coast Guard in WWII from October 1, 1942 to April 11, 1946. He was an avid sports fan. He had many great words of wisdom and stories to share with his family.
Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife, June, and survived by his two children, Randy Park (Linda) and Jan Lucas (Walt); six grandchildren, Christy Park, Shelly Bingham (Nate), Rob Park, Amber Ivie, Tyson Lucas (Aubrey) and Jesse Lucas (Dauwn); and eight great-grandchildren.
We all love you and will cherish the many great memories we shared with you. You will be extremely missed, especially at "coffee" on Saturday mornings. Dad, "I hope you get many more rounds." Many thanks to the staff at Pine Mountain Hospice Care. Also, the caregivers, Sonia, Sumara and Celeste.
A gathering for friends and family will be Friday, September 20, 2013, from 11:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street.
