Joseph Anthony Chiodo,74 of Salt Lake City, died March 23, 2013 at his home.
He was born April 18, 1938 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Joseph and Frances Barber Chiodo. He served in the U. S. Navy. Married Diane Kell on July 30, 1960.
Joe was a U of U fan through and through. He was a great story teller and loved to laugh and make others laugh. He was a lifelong member of Saint Patrick Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Diane; brother, Robert E. Chiodo; sons, Michael (Amy) Chiodo and David Chiodo; grandchildren, Michele (Kenny) Buttars, Matthew (Laura) Chiodo, Brooke (Jake) Winmill, Timothy (Heather) Chiodo, and Kelly Chiodo; and great grandchildren, Landen and Porter Buttars, and Kai and Johnny Winmill. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert R. Chiodo.
A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Saint Patrick Catholic Church, 1040 West 400 South. A vigil service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may call from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m. Committal, Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Avenue and T Street.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Saint Patrick Parish, 1058 West 400 South, SLC, UT 84104.
